People use keyboard shortcuts for a lot of reasons. Some like to use them to save valuable time or just because they find it easier. Others don't use a mouse for physical reasons, so executing commands through the keyboard is essential. Whatever your reasons, and whether you're a keyboarding aficionado or a beginner, this course will help you learn how to work with the 2007 Office system using just your keyboard.

Key combinations perform specific commands. They are unrelated to the Ribbon or other things that you see on screen. The keys need to be pressed together to trigger the action and most, but not all, involve pressing CTRL plus other keys (for example, CTRL+C to copy). Key combinations have mainly not changed in the 2007 Office release, and will work the same way as previously.

Display the Format menu.
ALT+O
Display the Font dialog box.
CTRL+SHIFT+P
Switch case (with text selected).
SHIFT+F3
Format letters as small capitals.
CTRL+SHIFT+K
Make letters bold.
CTRL+B
Add bullets.

That's it! Now you are ready to use shortcuts that make sense for you!

·  Things To Think About Before Upgrading to Windows Vista

Windows Vista Logo

This article discusses the installation choices available to you for upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista. How you upgrade depends on your answers to these three questions:

Do you have an upgrade copy or a full product copy of Windows Vista? This is described on the front of the Windows Vista retail box or on an online sales receipt.

With an upgrade copy, you can install Windows Vista if you already own a compliant, licensed version of Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista. With a full copy, you can upgrade, where possible, or perform a clean installation of Windows Vista, even if no operating system is installed on your computer.

Does the version of Windows currently installed on your computer allow you to perform an upgrade to the edition of Windows Vista that you purchased?

Do you want to preserve your personal files, settings, and programs? Performing an upgrade preserves your personal files, settings, and programs. Performing a clean installation of Windows Vista does not preserve your personal files, settings, and programs.

Read more to get more information so you can answer these questions fully before you upgrade. There is also information about the best installation choice for your home or business system.
