Synnex Varnex 2011 held this past November at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas provided a wealth of information to ASysTech. After the pre-event occurrences on the 13th, we were able to take part in a variety of trainings, listen to keynote speakers, be updated on the Varnex Advisory Council, and participate in breakout sessions and roundtables.
What an experience! We were able to gain good insight into the operational business side of running a company. That means we had a benchmark to follow to ensure that we were taking the necessary steps to ensure ASysTech is in line with best practices regarding HR, internal processes and quality education to the internal team.

The event was tailored to meet the needs of both US and Canadian members. As expected, the topics covered by the keynote speaker touched on many of the same subjects that we hear on a daily basis — the value of partnerships, the continuing interest in the cloud, mobility and Unified Communications (UC) and Print, as well as discussions centered around vertical markets.

A very special initial event happened in Tampa, Florida for an elite group of individuals that belong to the Microsoft Cloud Champions Club Program that gave managed service providers like ASysTech, Inc. new insights pertaining to a wide assortment of topics.
It’s a special feeling to be part of an inaugural event. Microsoft held their first-ever Cloud Champion Club Southeast District Partner Summit in Tampa, Florida, on November 17. ASysTech, Inc. was one of the selected managed services providers that was able to participate in this all-day special event.
This Summit gave ASysTech a unique opportunity to network and engage with other executives that are part of the top Cloud partners that are focused on Small- to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs). During the Summit, partners were presented with a wide variety of impactful topics, such as being competitive in the Cloud, Microsoft’s Office 365 Marketing engine and partner resources, MS CRM Online partner opportunities, and much more.
According to Rick Hardin, President of ASysTech, “The best part was meeting the people we deal with daily on the Office 365 team. Office 365 roadmap gave us insight into how the product will evolve in the future. We met with other vendors whose products support and enhance Office 365 and were able to provide feedback to issues we had encountered.”

Continuing education in the Information Technology (IT) field is critical to keeping up with new and innovative releases of hardware and software as they appear in the marketplace. Leo Vieira, Systems Engineer at ASysTech, gained invaluable knowledge and expertise on Microsoft 365 deployment strategies during recent training that took place in Miami.
With the recent global release of Microsoft Office 365 by Microsoft, new learning opportunities for Information Technology (IT) specialists everywhere opened up. Such was the case with Leo Vieira, Systems Engineer at ASysTech, Inc.
Mr. Vieira jumped at the chance when training opened up in the last week of September for O365 Deployment Training for Partners. The 3-day workshop that was held in Miami was focused on Office 365 deployment capabilities. Leo Vieira gained an in-depth look into the planning, preparing and migrating phases of deployment for this latest software that includes the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and hosted versions of Microsoft’s Server products.
The intense training was centered around the two separate modules of gathering information and developing strategies for deploying Office 365 service offerings and successfully configuring Office 365 SharePoint and Lync, with plenty of time in between sessions to reflect and build upon the learning gained from the previous lectures and discussions.
As a Microsoft Office 365 partner, ASysTech is uniquely positioned to offer Orlando business IT support to small to medium-sized businesses who are contemplating switching to Microsoft Office 365. As the number of business owners and managers decide to make that all-important change-over, the call for qualified support will increase dramatically. This places Mr. Vieira at an advantage for sharing the knowledge and expertise he has gained from the deployment training. “The training has definitely been a worthwhile investment for ASysTech to make on my behalf,” said Leo Vieira. “For that, I thank management, in particular Rick Hardin, for making the decision to send me to the 3-day training.”
